We Can Cure Violence

Staff and Volunteers

Our Team of staff and volunteers are committed, credible, and suitable messengers. Serving as professional healthcare providers in our neighborhoods and communities to significantly reduce the epidemic of violence, and particularly gun violence.

Our History

With great vision from the Mayor's Office, TPHCDEC, and key stakeholders, Cure Violence Jacksonville/Westside MVP Team was formed in June 2021; guided by the understanding that violence is a health issue, that individuals and communities can transform themselves, and that community partners and strategic partnerships are keys to success. Through a rigorous, scientific, and data-driven approach, Cure Violence Jacksonville/Westside MVP Team helps communities by detecting and interrupting violence, stopping the spread of violence by providing programmatic services for behavioral modification, and changing the mindsets of communities to empower significant reductions in gun violence.

Our Mission

To reduce Gun Violence on the westside of Jacksonville (catchment area) using disease control and behavior change methods.
